Going, Going, Gone!

Yet another milestone! For the past week we've been giving Brody some puffed cereal. Typically he grabs one piece in each hand, closes his hands and bangs on his tray. Then he opens his hands and looks surprised to see the cereal still in his hand. From there he proceeds to drop it over the side of his chair . . . much to Shady's delight! Tonight, once again, Erik showed Brody how to eat the cereal. Low and behold, Brody imitated Erik! It was so funny because, first, he watched Erik intently. Then, Brody looked at his tray. He grabbed a piece of cereal in the palm of his left hand. Then, he transferred it to the fingertips of his right hand and put it in his mouth. From there he chewed with an exaggerated chomp just like dad did! He looked simply delighted to do what dad did! We continued to put more cereal in front of him just to watch it disappear. I'm not sure who was more excited about this latest accomplishment, him or us!
