San Antonio Trip

Sorry it's been so long . . . don't worry . . . we haven't abandoned the blog. It's been so nice outside that we've been spending time out there instead of in here. It's been wonderful! For all of you who don't get to see us regularly though I wanted to make sure and post some new pics for you!


In early March we headed to San Antonio with Emily, Richard & Nick and the good intention that we'd stay on the Riverwalk at night and visit Sea World during the day. Mother Nature had different plans for us! The morning we woke up to head to Sea World, it was POURING down rain, and it didn't look like it was going to let up any time soon. We were so fortunate because we were staying on the Riverwalk in the heart of San Antonio. We hadn't been in about ten years and were surprised at how much there was to do! We packed up the kids in the strollers and headed over about three blocks to the Children's Museum. They had so much fun!
We played for a few hours, and then, not wanting to forget that we were in San Antonio we tromped thru the rain to go eat some good Mexican food on the RiverWalk. The adults were soaked, but the boys were dry by the time we arrived at the restaurant. The little hood on Brody's stroller provides a great rain shield! Then we headed back to the hotel for naps. Everyone was tuckered out!
That evening the rain had lifted, and we had a great time walking the RiverWalk and then heading over to the Rain Forest Cafe to eat. There were indoor thunderstorms every 30 minutes, butterflies wings flapped and crocodile mouths opened. The boys just loved it! Plus we learned that Brody knows how to color. He was watching his friend Nick color on his kiddie menu/place mat and picked up some colors to start doing the same. WOW! Kids are just amazing.



That's about it for San Antonio. We did try out the Drury Hotel and were thoroughly impressed. Our hotel was walking distance to everything and included breakfast and a great happy hour. We highly recommend it to anyone travelling.
