Wedding

Christy & Brooke's wedding was a great time! It was fancy but not too fancy, and casual but not too casual. It was fun to be downtown with friends and with Brody. Christy looked gorgeous. The food was perfect. And Erik was quite pleased (as was I) by the favors. Christy and Brooke laid out a table of different candies and all the good ones at that (whoppers, jelly bellys, gummy bears, kisses, yumm)! We each filled a little box to take with us. It was great! Even better than that was that Michael, Natalie & Taylor made the trip to Austin for the wedding. We were able to spend the evening visiting with them. It was fantastic!

Here's a picture of Brody's first trip downtown. It's hard to tell from the picture, but he's balancing (with dad's help) on one of those beams that keeps you from hitting the building when pulling in and out of the parking garage. He had a great time exploring everything that was new. His two favorite things at the wedding were, the stairs and his dramatics. He would lead either me or Erik to the stairs. We'd go up and down once, and then make a circle of the reception room. Then, periodically throughout the night, he'd just lay down in the middle of the floor and watch the people walk around. It was so funny. It was like he just needed a quick break. Then he was up and running again!
