Happy Father's Day Erik! Thanks for all that you do everyday with Brody! I couldn't ask for a more loving dadda for our son.
Here's a quick pic that I snapped this morning at the park. Taking pictures has become quite the challenge with Brody constantly on the move. Uncle Mike & Linda were in New Braunfels for the weekend and invited us down for a visit. We took them up on the offer and enjoyed some good pastries from a local bakery after a little hike to the park. Linda decided to feed the ducks her extras. Boy did they come quacking! The hard part was getting them to leave when we were out of food. . . And off to their next tourist they go! As they approached Brody backed into his stroller a bit, but once they were gone he couldn't stop saying "Quack! Quack! Quack!"
Then we let him down to roam the grounds. We're so lucky because he's quite content to just look for rocks and sticks. No extra toys required when we travel (although a ball comes in handy from time to time). We have quite the rock & stick collections going these days!
From the park we walked over to a little pond/pool. It was much like a minature version of Barton Springs. Brody dipped his feet in but was smarter than to go in any further. Despite the heat outside, that water was COLD!
Brody zonked out on the way home which left only one choice for me and Erik . . . Dairy Queen! It's become somewhat of a tradition for us to eat DQ ice cream on road trips, and it never tasted so good (of course, I'm sure I'll say the same thing next time too!). Tomorrow we head back to the daily routine, looking forward to the next weekend and more fun times!
