for months now one of brody's favorite words has been "phone." when the phone rings, he runs to it, points and says "i get it." he carries around any phone, real or play, that he can find and loves to hold it to his ear. of course his favorites are the real ones, and we are careful to avoid the random long distance call to some distant, unknown and expensive to call land! last weekend at target we bought him his own little phone. he must've played with it inside its box for a good 30 minutes before we arrived home. then when we were at home, erik unleashed it from its box, and i've never known a little boy so happy! he ran 'round and 'round the house with his new phone. this one's pretty cool because it actually rings, lights up, and we can record messages on it. we were in the garage when it "rang." he stopped what he was doing, answered it and stood there talking on it for a few minutes. it was the cutest thing!

i love the brody stories. i can't decide if talking on the phone is more like his mom or dad probably both.
Ella has the exact same phone and loves it! She hands it to us to answer then takes it and walks around the room "talking" on it. Too cute. It's crazy how quick they learn and imitate what we do(sometimes)! In the middle of posting this she bent down and turned the computer off! ugh!
