little black car

it's gone . . . i almost cried as it drove away. we sold my little black car a few weeks ago. it's official. i'm now a "real mom." i drive a sedan. we live in suburbia. we eat more meals home than out. and on monday morning before work i cleaned out of my purse two toy cars, a pacifier, a burp rag, a bag of breadsticks (emergency snack) and a toy walkie talkie! it made me laugh, smile and cry! how did i get so lucky to have this great family and all of these blessings! and why are they growing up so quickly?! so, the little black car drove off and now we are back to two cars. the neighbors are happy, and i no longer fear opening the mailbox lest i find a notice of violation from the HOA. we had a fantastic day outside washing the car. it took us a few hours. it was really hot so the sun was drying the soap as quick as we put it on the car. fortunately brody was there to help us with the spots we missed! he thought it was so cool to stick his arm in a bucket of bubbly soap!
