happy halloween!

lots of halloween festivities this year! brody was a fireman and emersyn a ladybug. i didn't realize it, but it looks like brody had already lost his fireman's badge by the time we took pictures . . . i think this is about five minutes after i put it on him! looking at the pictures i probably should have untucked his pants from his boots. with the way his hat sits and the boots he looks more like a british patrolman than a firefighter! emersyn was quite intrigued by brody's hat. brody's favorite part is his boots especially because he can put them on himself. we walked outside to trick-or-treat at the same time as nick and ellie. they were dressed as bruce springsteen and his backup singer. we trick-or-treated for about an hour. with little ones on foot that meant about 10 houses! then we came home and passed out candy to everyone who was still out and about. brody had just as much fun passing out the candy as he did receiving it. he kept running to the window to check for trick-or-treaters and going back to the candy bowl to see how it was doing. unfortunately erik had to participate from the couch. he was sick again. the rest of us had a blast! hope everyone else had just as much fun as we did!
