it's been a while

i hate to leave you all out there without any pictures, but that's what happened over the past few weeks. i had an opportunity to present avenueB to a high end baby store in austin, and after much debate i went for it!

as late as last sunday i was still waffling over whether or not i wanted to even consider the opportunity. i decided to at least check it out so i spent my week sewing instead of blogging. i had my meeting on thursday after work with the most wonderful store manager. i walked away with a purchase order for two dozen sets! WOW! look for my "stuff" to show up at this cute little store, babycoco, sometime in january!

here i am writing facts and just telling the story, but what i haven't conveyed is how TOTALLY excited i am to be doing this! the store is so cute! it's a little house that's been converted into a store near the 35th st. split in austin. they work with lots of local moms who craft in their freetime, and the store is very comfortable. you really just want to touch everything with all of the beautiful, fun, soft fabrics around. the best part is that this means that i get to shop for fabrics that i like and craft away! i know i have a long way to go but just for an evening i felt much like one of the many blogs i follow . . . the cool crafty mom, with her own cute line of stuff, spending the evenings crafting after everyone's asleep . . . yep, totally making this way more glamorous than it actually is . . . me at midnight in a frenzied rush, ripping out a seam for the twentieth time, going cross-eyed and wondering what the heck did i get myself into . . . for now i'll pretend i'm in the dreamland! off to do some shopping . . .
