that's my girl!

emersyn has officially graduated to the little elmo sounds and lights table that brody used to love so much. here she is showing off her standing skills. her legs keep getting stronger, but unless she's really amused by something (like running bath water) she prefers to sit and crawl. i think she must feel a little stuck when she stands because she doesn't seem to quite know what to do or how to get out of the stand yet. i must admit that i don't like being in a precarious situation myself! she's become quite adept at her commando crawl. she disappears from sight all the time. she has a favorite shelf in the kitchen where she can pull down all the toys for playing. and if we go into another room it's not long before she's joining us. watch out momma and dadda!

at ten months she's still a little thing but with a mighty voice when she's not getting her way. i should probably second that "watch out momma and dadda!" i'm not sure if you can tell from the picture, but she just grew her fourth tooth! she likes pretty much every food we put in front of her, and i think she eats as much or more than brody some days!

since this has turned into an emersyn update i figure i might as well finish it out . . . she still loves her bath time. she just started saying "ba." she says it both at bathtime and when she gets a book so book & bath are my interpretation. i've heard her say it to brody too so it might be his name as well. she's awesome at saying dadda, and good at momma. she loves to dance to music and practically throws herself out of her high chair when she gets going. she's very enthusiastic! (sounds like her dad, right?!) she's good at signing milk and more, and i think she's learning eat as well. she waves and claps with the best of them, but don't ask her to do any of this on command. she still gets a little stage fright!
