standing up

. . . here's one of the only pics i've taken with the camera . . . one day i'll stop sewing and start snapping!
this girl is standing up, pulling up, crawling on all fours (no more commando crawling . . . she's much faster and can carry things when she moves on all fours), cruising on the furniture, signing, talking and basically trying to do everything everyone else (namely her big brother) is doing.
the two things that i remember most from the past few days are today we were standing outside a door, and her dad was on the other side. she would point to the handle, and then she would pat her chest. she pats her chest a lot during mealtime, and i finally understand . . . she's signing "please." when i reached for the door handle she was so excited because i understood her!
also, she does a cute little banana chant. last week when she and erik were at HEB, erik was getting peanuts which are positioned across the aisle from the bananas. he noticed she was saying "naNA! naNA!" now she says it all the time when we're in the kitchen. i must get it on video . . . it's so cute, and it will go away much too soon!
