air fest

on our most recent quest for fun, free and close to home we came across the first annual georgetown air fest. many of the locals brought out their planes, and let us take a peek.



standing in line to try out the military chopper. the line was barely moving, and it was hot so he ended up opting for lunch at gram and papa's instead of standing in line.



beautiful plane. i didn't realize it until tonight, but i think i really saw the planes more looking at all of erik's amazing pictures tonight than i did that day with one eye on planes and the other on kids. i love the colors on this one.



i bet they had a fun time doing this flyover. i know we all enjoyed watching it. emersyn is into the plane phase, and she can hear them from miles away.



what festival would be complete without a firetruck. i think this was emersyn's first time on the truck, and i'd say she liked it!

what a great day! and we topped it off with bbq and cupcakes at gram and papa's house for erik's birthday! learning to see the world thru little eyes . . . my sight may be getting worse, but i seem to see better and better every day.
