happy birthday!

happy birthday to you (baby) boy . . . not so baby anymore. check out this pic! erik and brody had a blast shooting hoops and snapping pics. i think it's so much fun, and it encapsulates the sportsman in him. if it's a sport he's into it . . . hockey, golf, tennis, baseball, soccer, basketball and on and on. the sport doesn't matter to him just as long as it's a game to play.

after a busy weekend he was exhausted last night, and he didn't want to go to bed so he told me that he didn't want to turn four. next thing i knew he was telling me what he wanted to do for his fifth birthday. hah!

he has a little more attitude than before, but i think he's still a super sweet boy. he helps take out the garbage and the recycling. he feeds the cats. he tells us everything that emersyn is doing! he helps emersyn take her kismoto down the driveway. he shows her how to do things . . . the good and the bad.

he loves puzzles (and he's really good at them). he loves cartoons (especially those days when momma has to get some extra things done, and i let him watch extra cartoons). he gives great hugs and kisses and has an amazing laugh.

and his thoughts are getting more and more interesting. tonight he asked me "would you mind if i had that piece of bread?" what four year old asks for something in that manner?! i told erik about it, and a few minutes later brody asked erik for a chip "would you mind if i had that chip dad?" then he looked at me and grinned while dad was looking away. little salesman! boy, am i in trouble ;)

i could go on and on, but i must refrain. happy birthday brody! we are so blessed to have you as our son. we love you!
