what arrived on our doorstep was a serger! a few weeks ago my aunt linda emailed me asking if i’d like to assume responsibility for her serger. the funny, actually she called it serendipitous, is that just the weekend before she emailed me i had told erik that if we won the lotto i was going to buy a serger. keep in mind that carol has offered up her serger many times for me to use, and i really don’t have a drastic need for a serger, so that’s why i thought it would be a nice thing to buy with our lotto winnings. (we only won $7 in the lotto so maybe a spool of thread instead!) then aunt linda’s email came, and i jumped on it! she graciously and quickly shipped it to me. i made the kids wait all day until i came home from work to open it so you can imagine that was quite the event!
i learned that it’s lots-o-fun to jump on bubble wrap!

none of it worked out so well for the dog. shady spent the bubble wrap popping extravaganza hiding out in the closet.
just as the bubble wrap fun began to tire, brody and emersyn remembered there was a box full of packing peanuts. why not climb in?
it looks like some fun is happening while i set up my new machine. could they have possibly jumped into a box of peanuts once or twice?!
wow! my workspace looks quite professional with two sewing machines! thank you kindly aunt linda. i’m inspired to do some sewing.
