repeat, repeat, repeat

just a quick story for today . . .
last week i was making dinner and commented to erik that brody sure was picking up a lot of words lately. brody was sitting there with us as we had the conversation, and i said "he's just a little mimic. repeat. repeat. repeat." about five seconds later what do i hear "repeat. repeat. repeat." too funny! he's picking up all sorts of words right now . . . christmas tree, santa, movie, spray bottle, oatmeal. it's really cool to watch this transformation. you never know what word is going to come out of his mouth next, and i feel so bad when i can't figure out what he's saying. i know he's so proud of these new words, and then i have no idea what the heck the word is! the best is when he calls me at work which he and erik do almost every day (the absolute best part of my day!). there aren't any objects around so that he can show AND tell me what he's saying. i just have to guess! if nothing else, he'll just turn the conversation back to sports, golf, football, baseball, basketball . . . all of his favorites!
