easter

easter started out as a chilly and rainy morning, but by the time church was out the day was beautiful! gram and papa were already at our house when we pulled into our driveway. and what better way to eat easter lunch than have someone else cook it and bring it to your house! thanks gram!
after lunch we headed out to the front yard for some easter egg hunting. it took a minute to get started, but once brody got started he had a lot of fun with it. i think he had the perfect amount of eggs, two dozen. that was about the length of his attention span. he loved opening them up to find "candies" (where did he learn that word? i don't recall teaching it to him!) and letters (magnetic ABCs for the fridge). i think he could take or leave the stickers. i was surprised because his favorite part of going to HEB is getting a "ball with a sticker." perhaps it's not actually the sticker that he enjoys, but if you're going to have to go to HEB it's best to have something to look forward to!



after egg hunting he showed off his golf skills to gram and papa. we swear we're not making it up, he can really hit the ball with some accuracy (for a two year old)! and he has great body alignment and hand positioning. do i hear "golf" in his future? who knows . . . by this time next year, i'm sure he'll be on to other ventures.
emersyn slept thru many of the festivities so i took some pictures later in the day. what a pretty little dress! i love the ruffles!
