it's here!

the camera arrived a few weeks ago! we'd been talking about it for a while, and then all of a sudden "bam!" we bought it! i have to admit that i've barely picked it up. i'm not sure if i'm too busy with other things, too intimidated by the camera or too intimidated by both hilary's and erik's eye for a great picture, light, detail, etc. erik spent the first weekend playing around with the camera quite a bit. here are a few of the shots he took. the detail and clarity the camera captures is amazing to me. i wonder if some people observe this much detail when they look at people, objects, animals, etc. i've always been more of a "big idea" kind of girl so to be forced to see the detail is enlightening.
PS: i'm just learning that the great pics are much bigger files so one night i'll have erik show me how to compress them into smaller files so i can get back to blogging and sharing pics with everyone!
