you'd think that more free time to do things like blog would come with a three day weekend, but seeing how it's a week later before i'm able to post anything, i'd say that's just not the case! we had such a great time with cousins, aunts, uncles and gram and papa. saturday morning the whole crew ventured down to zilker park with a big(and very shady) playscape. it was pleasantly crowded with enough people for there to be a little "buzz" as erik likes to say but not so many people that we even really noticed how many people were there. a new playground is a new adventure for our kids. i'm glad they're so easy to please still.
then there was a fun train ride around the park! we've always seen the trains pass by, but we've never ridden on one until now. it was lots of fun and totally austin when we slowed down for an entertainer by the side of the train tracks.
after the train we checked out the swimmers at barton springs. i don't care what hilary says . . . that water is more cold than refreshing!! it's an average 68 degrees year round! bbbrrrr :) the kids loved watching the swimmers jump off the diving board, and it allowed for a cute picture too! speaking of pictures all of these are compliments of hilary! i think she does an AWESOME job with the camera!
from the park we were off to central market for a delicious lunch. after such a busy morning we headed back home and everyone took great naps!
